Coal tar pitch is produced from the processing of high temp. Coal tar by adopting the modern technology under the supervision of trained engineers and chemist.Coal Tar Pitch is available in two forms, i.e – Solid & Liquid. Recentaly, most of the Aluminium Industries have shifted to liquid coal tar pitch, due to envoirmental & quality conciousness. Kedia Group has designed specialized electrically heated tankers of its own to transport the material to Aluminium Plants.

High quality of pitch should have the following qualities:

1. High fixed Carbon
2. Low volatile matters
3. Low ash contents
4. Desired T.I , Q.I & B.R
5. Good Wettability
6. Zero Mesophase

Grades of Coal Tar Pitch:

1) Aluminum Grade
Aluminum Grade of Pitch is used for manufacturing of anodes (both prebaked & soderberg) as per customer’s specifications.
OUR MAIN CUSTOMERS: NALCO, VEDANTA, HINDALCO

2) Graphite Grade

1. Binder Pitch: It is a straight run and high vacuum process pitch used for the manufacturing of high quality electrodes for electric arc furnace.
2. Impregnating Pitch: It is used for impregnation of graphite electrodes and some special application for producing ultra pure and nipple grade electrodes. It is also used for fire resistant materials.

3) Other Grades of Pitch:
These are used in Iron & Steel Industries, Refractories, Carbon Paste, Paints, Water Proofing coating materials etc
